Over the years Palmetto Pleaters have hosted many of our favorite SAGA approved teachers. Our very first was Jill Hoffman Shoop, who was living in South Carolina at the time. She demonstrated the use of a smocking board and preparing smocked inserts for construction into garments at one of our meetings.

Since then, we have also enjoyed classes taught locally for us by Claudia Newton, Debbie Glenn, Cindy Foose, Wendy Schoen, Lillie McAnge, Judith Adams, Laura Jenkins Thompson, Gail Doane, Kari Mecca, and Vaughn Pierce.
